A propositional design for a pottery studio and gallery located on the street frontage of the site of the Nannup-Balingup Road House. The building operates as a complication to the fence line, which demarcates public and private space.
The construction materials—including clay bricks, rammed earth and glazed roof tiles—speak to the processes in ceramic production. The emphasis on this process mimics the notion of refinement and vitrification of raw clay. Located on Noongar Boodja.
